Happy 70th Birthday Dad

Today I have a special BIRTHDAY card to share with you.  This month is my Dad's 70th birthday.  I wanted to make a really special card.  I picked a few challenges to play along with and went about creating the card.  I would never have put these colors together.  That's why I love playing along with card challenges.  I think this color combo works nicely.  When I started pulling out my paper I wasn't sure this was going to work.  It did work.

Hybrid My Digital Studio Happy Birthday

Today I have a Birthday card to share with you.  I used My Digital Studio to design the card layout and create the sentiment.  The cupcake is stamped on colored card stock and paper pieced to the white card stock.  It was not easy to cut that little heart out, but it does look cute.

Happy New Year 2015 - Virginia's View Challenge # 11

Happy New Year 2015!!!

Today I have two cards to share with you. Both cards are for the Virginia's View Challenge # 11 Clean Slate.  You can find the challenge linked to the photo at the bottom of the page if you'd like to play along.

The layout for this card was inspired by a card I designed a couple years ago (Deepest Sympathy).   I changed it up by making it white on white, took out some butterflies, added pearls, and used a Happy Anniversary sentiment.

I also did a sympathy version of this card.  The only difference is there are a few extra butterflies and the sentiment is for sympathy.

While I don't make "resolutions" at the new year I have made a couple "goals".  The difference I see between resolutions and goals is having a plan to get to the goal.  My biggest goal for 2015 is to send out more cards to my family and friends.  This will require planning in advance.  I've already designed some cards and picked up some stamps for January birthdays so I have a good start on my goal.

Congratulations Class of 2014

I MADE A CARD!!!!!  

It's a really clean and SIMPLE Graduation card.  The cool thing about this card is that by using the swiss dots embossed background I was able to easily cut the diagonal along the dots.  Sometimes it can be hard to get the cut just right.

I used the Simon Says Stamp Simple Numbers Craft Die for the 2014.  I recently picked up a few dies from SSS.  Luckily I used them just in time to play along with the Wednesday Die Crazy Challenge.  

The Congratulations was printed from Word (big surprise I know).
