Encouragement Card for Paper Players Sketch Challenge

Good Friday Morning!

I'm here today with a card for this week's Paper Players Sketch Challenge PP101.

Supplies
Stamps:   One of Those Days
Paper: Basic Black, Misc DP
Ink:  Memento Black
Accessories:  Black Ribbon, Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Label Punch, SU Pearls

I chose this color scheme based on the theme of the card.  These aren't my typical colors but I really like the contrast of the soft blue and yellow against the grey and black.  I sponged some silver on the white circle.  The bird and cloud are paper pieced.

The most meaningful card I ever got was from my twin sister.  When I was going through a really rough time, my sister gave me a card with an adorable kitten hanging from a tree with the sentiment - hang in there.  I'll never forget that card because it meant so much to me that she cared so much for what I was going through.  I still have that card 15 years later.  That's why I LOVE this stamp set so much.  It means a lot when you can send someone a card of encouragement when they really need it.

For my card I used the {ippity} set One of Those Days

Happy 100th Challenge Paper Players

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!

Today I have a card for this week's Paper Players Challenge.  Since it's their 100th Challenge, they let us pick any past sketch or color challenge.  I decided to do both.  I used sketch #80 and color challenge #42 (Baja Breeze, Poppy Parade, and So Saffron)

I scored the Baja Breeze paper with the Scor Pal (Love that tool!!!) before I punched out the cupcake wrapper.  As you can see I used the polka dot embossing folder - big surprise, I know.  I added stickles to the dots on the frosting, to center of the flower, and to the three dots on the bottom that are actually the decorative dots that pop out of the cupcake punch.  Those are super small and hard to adhere to the paper.  If anyone has a tip for that I'd love to hear it!

That's it for my card.  We've been super busy house training our new 10 week old Yorkie Puppy.  He's a lot of work but also so CUTE!!!  Check him out....

I've had to stop typing this post at least 10 times to redirect his attention from chewing on something he wasn't supposed to.  He's lucky he's so darn adorable and cuddly!

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my card today and Happy 100th Challenge to The Paper Players!  Here's to 100 More!!!

Maria Levine's Got {ippity}? Summer Themed Blog Hop

You've reached the 2nd stop on Maria Levine's Got {ippity}? Summer Blog Hop!  Hopefully you arrived from Maria Levine's Blog RIA CREATIONS.

Here's my card:

Isn't this little bird just too cute?  I paper pieced the bird and the cloud with designer paper.  The background on the Cameo Coral paper was embossed with the polka dot embossing folder.  I used the indents for the front of the card instead of the popped out dots to give it a little different look.
The layout for this card is from the current Clean & Simple Sketch Challenge.  I’m also including this card in this week’s CAS-ual Friday’s Polka Dot challenge.

For my card I used the {ippity} set One of Those Days

I designed the desktop wallpaper using a Freebie Digital Paper pack from Sweet Shoppe Designs and My Digital Studio from Stampin Up.  The digital paper pack is called Sweet as Honey.
