Musical Dexter Winging It

Before I get to my challenge card today - I want to thank everyone that participated in our blog hop!

This week's challenge at Totally Stampalicious is to use something with WINGS on your card or project.  I used the Musical Dexter stamp set for my image and sentiment.  I decided to go with a square card this time.  I wanted to keep the colors bright and cheerful too - mission accomplished with bright green and yellow!

I'm also including this in the following challenges-

Stamp Fairy - Glitter Challenge
Paper Sundaes - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my card!  I hope you get a chance to play along in our WING IT challenge this week!

Franklin Bear - Anything Goes Challenge

Happy Monday my Crafty Friends!  I want to start this post by WELCOMING the 5 New Design Team Members at Totally Stampalicious!  We are so excited to have such talented designers on our team!

Today I'm sharing my card for this week's Anything Goes Challenge at Totally Stampalicious.  I used the newly released Franklin Bear Stamp set for the image and sentiment.  Something about Franklin Bear makes me want to use Blue and Brown.  I colored the image with my prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits using my blending stumps.  I also sponged chalk around the image to soften the picture.  I added a touch of pink with the flower.  Franklin's tie is paper pieced to match the marina mist background and scalloped edge.  The layout for this card is from the Freshly Made Sketches Sketch #1.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my card today!  I hope you get a chance to play along with us this week!  We love to come by and see all your awesome creations!

September Calendar Page

It's SEPTEMBER 1st already!  Where did this summer go?  My daughter will be starting 4th grade next week.  It's time to get back to the routine of school and homework.  We are going to be super busy this fall.

As much as I LOVE summer I also love the beautiful fall colors and weather.  I'm ready to break out some comfort food recipes and make some soups and stews (gluten free of course).

Today I'm sharing my September calendar page.  I used this adorable (and somewhat neglected) Hero Arts Flower Branch with Owl stamp for my inspiration.  I created the calendar itself in MS Excel.  The butterflies just seemed to fill in the empty space on the page.  I kept it clean and simple.  The colors on my monitor look more like burgundy and blue but the background is actually more brown IRL.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my September calendar page!

Check out these other AWESOME calendar pages for some September inspiration....
