Deepest Sympathy, Black and White

I'm venturing out and joining in on this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge.  The challenge is to make a project that is only black and white.  I think this is such an elegant color combination!  It would work beautifully for a wedding or anniversary card as well as for this sympathy card I made.

Now that I've worked my way through the online Clean and Simple card making class, I thought I should start challenging myself to participate in some CAS challenges.  What better place to start than with this gorgeous color combination challenge.

Here's my black and white sympathy card:

Supplies:
Stamps:  Hero Arts Sentiments
Paper:  PTI White, Basic Black
Ink:  Momento Black
Accessories: Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die, Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder, Basic Pearls Small

This was really simple to put together.  I embossed the base layer with the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder.  Stamped the sentiment on the bottom, attached the butterflies and colored in the centers of the embossed flowers.

Just in case you'd like to play along in the Black & White challenge.....Here's the link to the CAS-ual Fridays challenge blog......

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my Black and White Clean and Simple card!

Hi Julie,

Love your card - it is so beautiful and peaceful. The on-line clean and simple cardmaking course has been great, hasn't it - I have learned so much as I am sure others have too.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and for your lovely comments - they truly made my day :-))

Very nice. Very balanced composition. And since butterflies symbolize the soul, good choice for a sympathy card. What company is that Elegant Bouquet embossing folder from? I really like it.
