Deepest Sympathy, Black and White

I'm venturing out and joining in on this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge.  The challenge is to make a project that is only black and white.  I think this is such an elegant color combination!  It would work beautifully for a wedding or anniversary card as well as for this sympathy card I made.

Now that I've worked my way through the online Clean and Simple card making class, I thought I should start challenging myself to participate in some CAS challenges.  What better place to start than with this gorgeous color combination challenge.

Here's my black and white sympathy card:

Supplies:
Stamps:  Hero Arts Sentiments
Paper:  PTI White, Basic Black
Ink:  Momento Black
Accessories: Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die, Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder, Basic Pearls Small

This was really simple to put together.  I embossed the base layer with the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder.  Stamped the sentiment on the bottom, attached the butterflies and colored in the centers of the embossed flowers.

Just in case you'd like to play along in the Black & White challenge.....Here's the link to the CAS-ual Fridays challenge blog......

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my Black and White Clean and Simple card!

A Clean and Simple Birthday from JJ

This week's challenge at Totally Stampalicious is to make a Clean and Simple card!  I thought it was a perfect challenge for this busy time of year.  I used the CAS Sketch challenge from SCS for the layout.  I also did some sponging on the image panel for today's Technique Lover's Challenge.

I think JJ looks really good against an argyle background don't you?  She's such a preppy girl today!  I used the Totally Stampalicious new clear rubber release Cupcake JJ.

Now I'm off to get some work done!  Have a GREAT Day!

Thanks for checking out my card!

Beautiful Christmas

It's Treehouse Challenge Thursday!  This week's theme is GLITTER.  I absolutely LOVE using glitter!

My sample was made using the newly released Christmas Ornaments stamp set from Treehouse Stamps.  You can find the set HEREThe sentiment is from the Peaceful Noel stamps set at Treehouse Stamps.  You can find that set HERE.

I used the Clean and Simple sketch #116 for the layout.  Although this sketch looks "simple" I spent a long time trying to line up the digi printout with the top note die and then struggled to get the bottom layer to line up.  In the end I'm very happy with how it turned out.  I wouldn't call it "simple" though.

The potted plant prop I used is actually a Christmas decoration that I made years ago from a small terra cotta pot.  I painted it in burgundy and gold and added the pine leaves, pine cone, and ribbon with beads.  The color combo in this card matches perfectly with this little pot.

Here are my supplies:

Paper:  Very Vanilla, Bravo Burgundy, Basic Black

Stamps:  Christmas Ornaments,  Peaceful Noel (sentiment)
Ink:  Basic Black
Accessories:  Stickles, Top Note Die, Basic Black Ribbon

Thanks for checking out my card!  I hope you join us for this week's challenge!
