Top Note Holiday Treat Boxes

Happy day after Thanksgiving my Blog friends!  Today I'm excited to share a cute holiday treat box project with you.

I saw this adorable treat box on Splitcoast Stampers and just had to make one of my own.  The only problem was that I neither have the Big Shot Pro nor the dress die for the treat container.  So I decided to find a way to make this container using supplies that I already had.  I found a tutorial for the gift box on SCS and modified it a bit to make the body (details included below).  Then I just pieced together the rest of the reindeer using the Top Note Die, tape and some punches.

I thought this little guy needed a friend so I made a penguin to go along with him!  Here is the penguin....

I'm also including this project in this week's Gearing Up for Christmas Challenge at Bugaboo Stamps.  Thanks for looking at my project and have a Wonderful Day!

How to make the TREAT BOX:

Supplies:  1 Sheet Close to Cocoa Paper, Paper Cutter, Bone Folder, Scissors, Sticky Tape

1.  Cut your paper to 6 x 11
2.  Score your paper landscape at 2", 5", 7", 10"
3.  Score your paper Horizontally at 1 1/2"
4.  Cut the small tabs to the horizontal score line
5.  Fold all the score lines
6.  Tape & Assemble
7.  Pinch the top corners of the box together to create a fold

Supplies List:
2 Large Ovals Close to Cocoa, 2 1/4" Circles White, 3 1" Round Circles - 2 Black & 1 Red, 1 Round Tab Extra Large - Basic Black, 2 Word Window Punches - Chocolate Chip, 1 Top Note Die Close to Cocoa.

SSSC86 - VSN Random Drawing Goodies

Today is a GREAT day!  I got to make a card using the goodies I WON from the random drawing over at Splitcoast Stampers Virtual Stamp Night.  Addicted to Rubber Stamps supplied the prizes.  I only had time to participate in two challenges so I feel extra lucky that I won!  Since I won the stamps and designer paper I thought it was only right to make a project with them :)

I used the Owl stamp from Hero Arts and the designer paper is from the prize too! I used this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge for the layout. The sentiment is from Treehouse Stamps digitial set Fall Blessings.

Supplies List:

Stamps:  Hero Arts Flower Branch with Owl, Fall Blessings Digital THS
Paper:  Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Barely Banana, Pebbles Giddy Designer Paper
Ink:  Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery, Real Red
Accessories:  Button, Elastic String, Scallop Circle Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, Large Circle Punch

Thanks for checking out my card!

WT277, F4A19, Happy Birthday USA

Here is my card for this weeks Free 4 All Challenge (Use Gold Stars) and Ways To Use it (4th of July Card w/out Red, White, or Blue)

This card is pretty basic, and that is exactly what I like about it. Sometimes I get caught up in making cards with lots of layers and techniques. This card is refreshingly simple (IMO).

Thanks for taking the time to check this one out! Have a Happy 4th of July or Canada Day for my neighbors to the North!

I hope you love this little card as much as I do!
