Keep it Simple Challenge

This week's challenge at Totally Stampalicious is to make a Clean and Simple Card.  I thought this would be the perfect time to break out my swivel knife and cut out my image.  When I told my husband about this plan he said make sure you have the bandages ready....NICE.  Anyway I'm happy to report that I was able to cut JJ out without cutting myself.  I've seen so many awesome cards with images cut out and I've been wanting to try this for a while now.  In the end I'm very happy with how this turned out.    It took less time than my adventures with the sewing machine too.

Mark your calendars - we're having a New Release and Blog Hop at Totally Stampalicious on Thursday - April 21st!

Stop on over to the Totally Stampalicious Blog to see more great Clean and Simple inspiration from the design team!  I hope you get a chance to play along with us this week!

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my card!

I have a new Facebook page for Julie Makes Cards.  I'd love it if you follow me there - just click the like button on my sidebar.

Oh, this is amazing, Julie! I love your layered cards but you can totally nail CAS, too. I love that you put the image on a red nestie and a kraft card base! That is too funny what your husband said but I sure hope you didn't cut yourself. ;)

A swivel knife?? Oh, what a great job. I've tried to use my craft knife a few times with NO success. Sure wish I could master that. That is a wonderful CAS card and fun birthday card.

Funny what your hubby said..glad you made it through unscathed. LOL
