Sympathy for Phoebe

Paper:  Basic Black, Whisper White, Shimmery White
Ink:  Basic Black
Stamps:  My Digital Studio, Thoughts & Prayers, Frames with a Flourish
Accessories:  Polka Dot Embossing Folder, Eyelet Border Punch, Floral Fusion Die, Heart Punch

This month's Stampin' Up card swap theme is a sketch.  This card is based on the sketch - unfortunately I don't have an electronic version of it to share with you but I really did enjoy working with it.  Since this is for the Stampin Up swap all supplies are SU.  I created the framed sentiment in the My Digital Studio program.  I love using MDS for swap cards because it saves a lot of time.  I sized the sentiment to fit into the flourish frame.

I also made this card in loving memory of our dog Phoebe.  We had to say goodbye to her last Saturday.  It was a very sad weekend.  Phoebe was a black and white terrier mix so the color combo is for her too!  I also think it's a perfect classic color combo for a sympathy card.  The red heart represents the spot she will always hold in my heart.

I'll be back later this weekend with this week's Totally Stampalicious challenge BLING!

Thanks for taking the time to check out my card!

Here is my February swap card. I'm really happy with how this one turned out. The theme is sympathy. I used Stampin Up My Digital Studio for the image panel. Here are the materials I used: Cardstock - Basic Black, Whisper White, Sage Shadow. Ink Basic Black and Sage Shadow.

It's very unusual for me to have anything photo worthy on the inside of my cards. This is an exception. I used the sentiment from Stampin Up's Thoughts and Prayers set but I typed it out in MDS so I could match the font to the front of the card.

Christmas Swap Card - Digital Hybrid

The previous post showed the card I designed on the computer with the My Digital Studio software. This is the card I actually made for the card swap. I printed out all the card elements and then put the cards together.

Get Well Soon - Old School

All about the stamps:

I needed to make a get well card for my monthly card swap. The only Get Well sentiment stamp I have is from the retired Stampin Up set Bold and Basic Greetings. Since I was going old school with the sentiment I thought I'd keep with the theme and used the retired Stampin Up Sketch an Event set. Interestingly these are the stamp sets that I ordered after going to my first Stampin Up demonstration. These sets inspired me to want to make cards.

Here are the materials I used:

Paper: Barely Banana, Whisper White, Close to Cocoa
Ink: Barely Banana, Certainly Celery, Positively Pink, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Cream Grosgrain ribbon, Large Tag Punch, Small Tag Punch, Ticket Corner Punch, Clear Stickles

Birthday Whimsy for May Card Swap

May marked the close of my first year in Card Club. I had so much fun this year! I learned a lot and made some wonderful friends! The theme for May was pick any technique. I decided to use the spritzing technique combined with masking. I wanted to create a card that was more gender neutral so I picked earth tones. I also imposed a challenge to copy any one layout from club. It's like the Wednesday Sketch Challenge on Split Coast Stampers. In the end I'm thrilled with how it came out!

Graduation Card

It's Card swap time again! I can't wait to see all the cards! This month's theme is Graduation. I was inspired by a card in the Splitcoast Stampers Gallery for this one. I used all Stampin Up paper, stamps and ink for this card! Thanks for looking!
